Handmade Toolmakers Chest

A very special cabinet specially made for a toolmaker's retirement. Every toolmaker will have owned one of these from their apprenticeship days, and this one was made from some amazing figured English oak. This project was a chance to incorporate some traditional craftsmanship, including hand cut dovetails and decorative wedged mortice and tenons.
The drawer pulls are turned from bog oak, and the drawers are lined with a dark blue leather lining.
The perfect handcrafted gift to commemorate a lifetime of craftsmanship.
